You can buy anything from the bakery and sit in Cafe Verin next door and eat it – no problem as long as you buy coffee or a drink from them.
The lady who serves in the cafe works in the bakery on certain days too,  such lovely people who work in both. The bar/cafe next door also serve food. Both worth a visit and very reasonable prices

Had a great time at The Irish Oak with Chris and the team, Chris involves everyone and everyone has a great time! Look forwards to more nights of karaoke fun!!
The bar is located opposite the Hotel Gala and we visited the Irish Oak on a number of occasions during our stay for drinks and food.
All of the staff are warm and very welcoming, in particular Wesley and Sue who served us breakfast a few times
The quality of food and service is fantastic and a great menu with plenty of choice
The bumper fry up is to die for and sets you up for the full day.
Drinks are plentiful, service impeccable and all with a genuine smile.

The restaurant is very well located in the La Tejita Shopping Center with unique views of the ocean. The food is delicious and well presented. The service is fast and always attentive. Wow, such a lovely new restaurant for Los Abrigos. The food is beautiful. We had poppadoms with chutney to start. We then had chicken tikka biryani and chicken tikka shashlik with a cheese naan bread. The chicken was sooooo tender, it just melted in your mouth. As a Los Abrigos resident, we will certainly be back again. Thank you to all the staff for a great experience.

Nice place to stop for a bit of lunch and a couple of beers.
Staff nice food not expensive but nice.
They have free Wi -Fi and a big TV.
A small venue but plenty of seats outside.
Food and drinks are reasonably priced and it’s definitely a place to consider a mid day snack.

Tenerife Cheeses

The range of Canary Island cheeses is vast. Each of the seven islands has its particular variety. The most outstanding examples are the Majorero Cheeses from Fuerteventura.

The cheese made in Tenerife is usually prepared from goat’s milk, although sometimes it is mixed with sheep or cow’s milk. Usually a fresh cheese but we can also find the smoked varieties.

Manchego is identifiable by the zigzag pattern that is etched into its rind. In Spain, this goat’s milk cheese is washed in red wine during the aging process giving the rind a deep burgundy color, flowery aroma and buttery flavor. This is known as Drunken Goat.

Costa Adeje
The Costa Adeje Adventure Hunt takes in the boardwalks and areas around the waterfront from Playa El Bobo to Playa Fanabe. The amazing views in this area make a great backdrop to our Costa Adeje Adventure Hunt.

You can choose between the standard route with 21 clues spread over 2.6km or the extended route with 35 clues spread over 4.5km. You should allow 1-2 hours for the standard route or 2-3 hours for the extended route.

A family route is also available suitable for children aged 8-12 when accompanied by one or more adults. The clues are a little less cryptic in the family Adventure Hunt and the hints are a little more helpful.

El Medano
The El Medano Adventure Hunt takes in the popular areas of El Medano, taking you past many of the popular restaurants and viewing points in the town. The amazing views of Montaña Roja and the El Medano bay make a great backdrop to our El Medano Adventure Hunt.

This 2 bedroom traditional property has a large private garden, BBQ, hot tub, own entrance & parking near San Miguel de Abona. 

If you want a real Canarian experience, yet with all the comforts of home, plus your own hot tub, come and stay in our pretty rural authentic Canarian house on one level built from traditional stone dating approximately from 1890 on the outskirts of the lovely old town of San Miguel de Abona in south Tenerife, 550 metres above sea level.

The house, which sleeps a maximum of 3 people, is comfortably furnished in a rustic style with character wooden beamed ceilings and cool whitewashed walls. Its spacious layout offers 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 single), newly renovated shower room with rainfall shower head, lounge/dining room and a separate fully equipped kitchen with a quirky cave like feel leading from a central hallway. The house has all the home comforts you need.

Outside, our guests are able to enjoy their own enclosed private south facing garden which is on 3 levels. The top level has a table and 4 chairs with an umbrella plus a rustic style BBQ for alfresco dining and on the middle level are sun loungers and umbrella.

This area is a real sun trap! On the lower level we have created a relaxing chillout area with seating and a corner pergola incorporating a misting system, perfect for cooling off in hot weather. We’ve recently also put in a patio heater so you’ll be able to sit out on not quite so warm evenings too.

There is also a hot tub for our guests’ sole use which we’re sure you’ll especially enjoy at night under the stars with a glass of something chilled by your side! The garden offers pleasant views to the sea, surrounding countryside and mountains. Guests have their own separate entrance so are able to come and go as they please plus free parking directly outside the property.

Ideally suited to couples and is perfect for those seeking a relaxing holiday away from the tourist resorts as this is a quiet rural residential area. It’s a great get-away-from-it-all honeymoon destination too. Relax on your sun lounger during the day and when the sun goes down, enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine in the chill out area before savouring a romantic BBQ in the garden or take a stroll up to the village to sample traditional Canarian cuisine or tapas in the local restaurants, cafés and bars. End your day with a relaxing dip in the hot tub under the stars …

For homeworkers, there’s fast free WiFi plus plenty of space to work in. For those who need it, there can be 2 separate workspaces (one in the lounge/dining room plus one in the 2nd bedroom) with access to power sources and good natural lighting. Or set your laptop up in the garden, even better! Switch on the coffee machine and you’re good to go …

Things to Note

This isn’t a modern villa, but a charming old character property built in 1890. A heater can be provided in cold weather or a fan in summer for an extra fee. Although there are 2 bedrooms, we can only accommodate 3 people as there is only wardrobe space in the single room.

Guests have the complete house and garden for themselves. No communal spaces to share with other guests or the owners

High Season: July, August, Christmas, New Year

Price for the property per night is 75 euros based on 2 adults outside high season.

Please contact us regarding discounts for long stays. Please note that the 20% discount for stays over 28 days is not applicable over Christmas New  Year.

If anyone is thinking about learning to dive, have some fun or even experienced divers looking to enjoy a another dive! I strongly recommend Zeke at Granadilla Diving and his team. I was over last year for a few days and just had to come back! This time i done my Rescue Course, EFR, Deep Course and the courses couldn’t have been any better. I had some the best experiences of my life in Tenerife and they simply wouldn’t be the same if had of gone diving with anyone else on the island and that was proven when i went with another dive centre. Want to say a big thank to yourself, Clare and Wata for an unforgettable week of diving and good banter! I can’t to my next trip over 🙌 Strongly Recommend! PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)

Not everyone has the time to book a course without first getting a taste of scuba diving. We offer try diving programs for non-certified divers. You will be under our guidance and follow the highest of safety standards.

The difference between these experience programs and a PADI Diving Course is that, after completion, you do not receive a diving license, but you can repeat the programs as many times you want, and will always be accompanied by a PADI Professional. The advantage is that you need only one day for this program and, your experience may also give you a credit towards the PADI Open Water Diver.

Friendly staff greeted us and took our orders. The Milkshake was very refreshing, a good serving and was nice experience. The restaurant itself was very busy in the evening so we struggled to find a table. As well, the sauce bucket had a mini pair of scissors ! It was a comedic and functional touch. Food wait was good with the knowledge that they were very busy. The deep fried scampi was not overcooked at all, and was v almost juicy in my mouth but not in any way sludgy. The steak with the chef’s special paté looked succulent and plated nicely. The restaurant also had multiple TVs, which played English news channels. They also play live sport some days. A good family friendly restaurant!

What exactly is a “Boletin”?

A boletin is an electrical installation certificate for low voltage, or “Certificado de Instalación Eléctrica de baja tension”, most commonly referred to simply as a “boletin”. Your electrician should be able to tell you when and if you require a new boletin.

For properties built after 2002 a boletin can usually be issued without the need for any upgrade to the electrical installation. For properties built before 2002 work is usually required to bring the electrical installation up to the current standard of the Spanish electrical regulations.
