What do Carpenters do?

Carpenters measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials. Sometimes called Joiners, they construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.

Carpentry and joinery are both construction trades. In its most simplest and traditional sense, joiners ‘join’ wood in a workshop, whereas carpenters construct the building elements on-site. Nowadays, correct or not, people tend to interchange Carpentry and Joinery.
