Folks, I am going to blaspheme now BUT Puerto de la Cruz is not the best place for a boat trip.
If you are hardcore about your boat trips and enjoy the more choppy weather in the North, well that great, but if you need relaxation on your boat trips then Puerto del la Cruz may not be for you.
That said, many boat trip operators pick you up early morning in Puerto de la Cruz and transport you to Las Americas to pick up the boat. They may give you a couple of hours free time before the trip , which can last from 3 to 4 hours .
